SAIL, a regional group of the International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers (IAMSLIC), is a network of cooperating libraries from the Gulf Coast states in the southeastern United States, the Atlantic Coast of North America--including central and eastern Canada, Bermuda, Bahamas, Caribbean, eastern Mexico, and Panama providing information and professional support to each other, scientific investigators, and the general public. The 2007-2009 SAIL Representative to the IAMSLIC Executive Board is Jan Heckman , University Librarian, at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point Campus Library in Gorton, CTSAIL 2008
The 2008 SAIL Conference, "Connecting the Oceans" will meet April 14-17, 2008 at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. The meeting will be hosted by Vielka Chang-Yau. Remember to update your passport and register now. The deadline for all registration is Saturday, March 15, 2008.
