CirculationThe Marine Resources Library (MRL) circulates books to the students, faculty, and staff who present a valid ID from the College of Charleston, NOAA/NOS-CCEHBR Charleston, SCDNR Marine Resources Division, Charleston Southern University, The Citadel, MUSC, or Trident Technical College. Books may be renewed two times. Patrons may check their accounts and renew books on the Web version of the library catalog if they have a library PIN number. PIN numbers may be requested at the Circulation Desk. If books are not overdue, they may also be renewed by phone 953-9370. For additional information read our Circulation Policy
ReservesThe Marine Resources Library can create course pages for marine biology graduate faculty and add reserve materials in PDF format on the COC Electronic Reserve Web Page. All reserve requests must conform to the copyright law (U.S. Code, Title 17). Please click on the link below to access the Electronic Reserve Request Form to request a course page or to place materials on electronic reserve. These materials can include print materials that are shelved on the Marine Resources Library reserve shelf and referenced on the course page. Interlibrary LoansThe Marine Resources Library places Interlibrary Loan requests for the students, faculty, and staff of NOAA/NOS-CCEHBRC, SCDNR Marine Resources Division, and the College of Charleston's graduate program in marine biology. ReferenceAlthough the Marine Resources Library does not have a "Reference Desk", the librarian is always available to offer reference assistance to library users.
